From October through March, hoodies are what Bergen County orders most: team hoodies for travel soccer and hockey, senior hoodies, staff hoodies for landscapers and contractors working outside, and a lot of one-off gifts. We are a small, two-person shop in Paramus, and this is the practical guide we would give a neighbor: which blank to pick, what it costs, how long it takes and how to get it home.
Step one: everyday or heavyweight?
Almost every hoodie decision comes down to this. If you want the detailed side-by-side of every blank, our hoodie and sweatshirt buying guide has it. Here is the short version.
- Everyday hoodies (around 8 oz) are what most teams and schools wear. They are warm enough for a sideline in November, wash easily, and come in the widest range of team colors. The Gildan 18500 is the standard.
- Heavyweight hoodies (10 oz and up, around 340 GSM and more) feel thick and structured, hold their shape and are warmer. They cost more, and they are what people mean when they say a hoodie feels "like a brand." Our GSM guide explains the numbers.
Prices as of November 2026
These are our prices for one colored hoodie with a front print. Every hoodie is priced the same way in our online designer, so you will see the same number when you build yours.
| Hoodie | Weight | 1 | 12 each | 24 each | 48 each |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gildan 18500 Heavy Blend | 8 oz | $41.50 | $40.50 | $38.50 | $35.50 |
| Lane Seven LS14001 Premium | 8.25 oz (280 GSM) | $42.00 | $41.00 | $39.00 | $36.00 |
| Lane Seven LS19001 Heavyweight | 10 oz (340 GSM) | $47.50 | $46.50 | $44.50 | $41.50 |
| Independent IND4000 Heavyweight | 10 oz | $52.50 | $51.50 | $49.50 | $46.50 |
| Independent IND5000P Legend | 13.5 oz (460 GSM) | $69.50 | $68.50 | $66.50 | $63.50 |
| Champion S101 Reverse Weave | 11.5 oz (390 GSM) | $75.50 | $74.50 | $72.50 | $69.50 |
A back print adds about $6.00 to $7.00 a piece. For example, 24 Gildan 18500 hoodies with a front and back print are $44.50 each. If you prefer a crewneck, the Gildan 18000 is $34.00 for one and $31.00 each for 24, and a heavyweight full-zip (Independent IND4000Z) starts at $59.50.
No sales tax is added: New Jersey exempts clothing, including team and work apparel, according to the NJ Division of Taxation. Shipping, if you need it, is $9.99 for up to 12 pieces, $14.99 up to 48 and $24.99 above that.
Where to put the print
- Full front: the classic team or school look. Most adult designs run about 10 to 12 inches wide, sitting above the pocket.
- Left chest plus a big back: the most "pro" look for businesses and brands.
- Sleeve: a small logo, a year or a town name down the arm. An extra print location is $3.00.
- Names on the back: because we print with DTF transfers, every back can be different without setup fees. Note the names in the order details.
Keep the pocket in mind. On a pullover, anything printed too low hits the pouch seam. The mockup in the designer shows the printable area, so you can see exactly where it lands.
Timing for Bergen County seasons
Printed hoodies are ready 7 to 10 business days after your deposit is paid and you approve your mockup. Rush is 5 business days for 25% more. A few dates to plan around:
- Winter sports and hockey: order as soon as rosters are set, so sizes are final.
- Holiday gifts: for pickup the week of December 21, approve and pay by about December 9 for standard timing, or about December 16 with rush. Our Christmas gift guide has the full calendar.
- Senior and class hoodies: give the class a week to collect sizes, then add 7 to 10 business days.
The clock starts when the deposit (50%) is in and the mockup is approved. Adding sizes after that can push the order back, so collect sizes first.
Picking up in Paramus
We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 to 3, and pickup is contactless at our front door. When your order is ready, book a pickup time so we have it waiting. We are closed Sundays, which matches most of Paramus: Bergen County is the only county in New Jersey that still enforces Sunday closing for most retail, as Bergen County's tourism page notes. We are a short drive from most nearby towns; see the areas we serve.
A quick checklist before you order
- Pick one blank and one color for the group. Mixing blanks changes the price and the look.
- Collect sizes in a shared sheet. Adult hoodies run roomy; a size chart is on each product in the designer.
- Use the highest-quality logo file you have. Our artwork guide explains what works.
- Decide front only or front and back before you collect money from the group.
Popular hoodie orders around the county
A few kinds of orders come up again and again from nearby towns:
- Travel and town teams: a team-color Gildan 18500 with the club logo on the front and the player's last name across the back.
- Senior and class hoodies: the class year big on the back, the school name on the front. Ask the school before using its logo.
- Contractors and landscapers: a heavyweight hoodie in a dark color with a big back logo that reads from across a job site.
- Restaurant and shop staff: a simple left-chest logo on a midweight hoodie for winter shifts by the door.
- Gifts and family sets: one hoodie per person in different colors with the same design, ordered together in December.
Washing printed hoodies
Wait a day before the first wash, turn the hoodie inside out, wash cold or warm and tumble dry low or hang dry. Skip fabric softener on the print and never iron directly on the design.
