Each template opens in the vinyl designer with the words already laid out. Change the text, your shop name and the size, and the price updates as you type. Prices below are for one decal at the template size, from the live designer.

Cut vinyl orders have a $15.00 minimum, and two decals or more of the same design cost less each. The plain vinyl designer also has a Holiday window lettering strip in step 1 with all of these. For permanent door hours and your logo, the store hours package is $99.00.

Cut lettering or a printed decal?

Cut vinyl is letters and shapes cut from solid-color outdoor vinyl with no background, so it looks painted on and the window stays see-through. White reads well on dark glass, and one or two colors keep it clean. All the templates above are cut vinyl.
Printed decals are for full color, photos or gradients. Orders of only printed decals have a $30.00 minimum, and it covers the glass behind the design.

Window lettering and town sign rules

A greeting is decoration, but hours, sale messages and your name usually count as window signs, and most Bergen towns cap window signs at a share of the glass. Paramus, for example, allows signs inside the window up to 2 feet tall and 20% of the window (borough handout), and Teaneck allows up to 30% (Teaneck code). Cut vinyl is ready in 3 to 5 business days, and rush (next business day) is available for 25% more if you are cutting it close. Ordering a week earlier than the dates above gives you the whole season in the window, not just the last week.

Putting it up and taking it down

Every order comes pre-masked with transfer tape, a squeegee and wet-apply instructions. Clean the glass first, and apply on a mild day without direct sun on the window.
Measure the glass before you order and leave a few inches of clear space around the lettering. The designer shows the exact cut size with a dashed box.
To remove it, warm the letters with a hair dryer and peel slowly. It leaves no residue on glass in good condition.
Rather not do it yourself? Installation in Bergen County is a flat $75.00 per visit.

Pickup

Pickup is contactless in Paramus, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am to 3pm. Book a pickup time when your order is ready, or text (201) 948-4433 with questions.

Frequently asked questions

How much does holiday window lettering cost?

In one color, a 36 x 12 inch Happy Holidays greeting is $44.72, a 24 x 12 inch Merry and Bright is $30.80 and an 18 x 10 inch gift cards decal is $20.00. A second color adds about a third. Cut vinyl orders have a $15.00 minimum.

When should I order holiday lettering?

For Christmas, order by Wednesday, December 16 for pickup in Paramus, or by Monday, December 14 if it has to ship. For Hanukkah, which begins December 4, order by Monday, November 30.

Will it come off after the holidays?

Yes. The vinyl comes off with a little heat from a hair dryer and leaves no residue on glass in good condition. Many shops leave the hours up and take the greeting down in January.

Can you install it?

Every order ships pre-masked with a squeegee and simple wet-apply instructions. If you would rather not, installation in Bergen County is a flat $75.00 per visit.
