A second embroidered location, such as a logo on the back or sleeve, is priced in the designer when you add it. A Gildan 8800 polo with two locations is $42.50 each for 12, for example. The designer also has more caps and beanies than this table, including rope caps, corduroy caps, five-panel snapbacks, bucket hats and recycled styles.
These are photos of the blank styles, not of finished customer orders. Your mockup shows your logo on the item before anything is stitched.
Digitizing, stitch counts and detailed logos
Embroidery machines follow a stitch file, not an image, so your logo gets digitized once. That is a one-time $35.00 per logo. It is waived on any order of 24 or more pieces with the same logo, and you never pay it again on a repeat order.
Most cap fronts and left-chest logos come in under 6,000 stitches, which is included in the prices above. Logos from 6,001 to 12,000 stitches add $3.50 per piece under 24 pieces or $3.00 per piece at 24 or more. Over 12,000 stitches, we quote a firm price with your mockup. You approve the count and the mockup before we take a deposit or stitch anything.
A few things help a logo stitch well:
- Thin lines and very small text do not hold up in thread. Letters under about a quarter inch tall get hard to read.
- Gradients and photos do not stitch. Solid colors do, up to 9 thread colors.
- A slightly smaller logo uses fewer stitches, which can keep a dense logo under 6,000.

Names, titles and numbers
For staff and coaches, you can add a name, title or number to each piece for $12.50 per piece. It is one or two lines up to 1 inch tall in total, up to 12 characters per line, and one thread color for the whole order. It does not need digitizing. Common spots are the right chest of a polo or quarter-zip, the upper back, a sleeve, the back of a cap or the back of a beanie cuff.

How long embroidery takes
Embroidery is done by an embroidery partner we work with. We take the order, check the stitch count, send you the mockup and handle pickup. Embroidered orders are ready 10 to 15 business days after you approve the mockup, and embroidery has no rush option. If you need something faster, a printed shirt or hoodie is ready sooner. How much does custom embroidery cost?
Prices include the blank and one embroidered logo of up to 6,000 stitches, which covers most cap fronts and left-chest logos. Is there a minimum for embroidery?
No. You can order one embroidered cap or polo. The per-piece price drops at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 pieces, and digitizing is free at 24 pieces with the same logo, so most businesses and teams order 12 or 24.
What is digitizing and do I pay it every time?
Digitizing turns your logo file into a stitch file the embroidery machine can follow. It is $35.00 once per logo. You do not pay it again on repeat orders of the same logo, and it is waived on any order of 24 or more pieces with that logo.
